It is cotton/acrylic and washable (wonderful for baby blankets!) yummy soft and so very pretty, direct from a famous yarn company in Italy. It is fingering weight and about 2600 ypp, many hanks available, this yarn dyes easily and completely with commercial dyes and also with kool aid, great for machine knitting, crocheting or double it up and make a beautiful shawl, this hank is not a "second", it is new and in perfect condition, retail price of this yarn is $65/pound, if you could find it.
